Alina Banu is a founding partner of the firm and a member of the Bucharest Bar Association since 1990. Her practice focuses on business law, with extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, data protection and contracts.

She has been involved in a wide range of complex advisory projects, providing legal assistance in the structuring, negotiation and implementation of significant commercial transactions involving Romanian and multinational companies across various industries.

Alina has played a central role in the development and consolidation of the firm’s advisory practice over the past decades, contributing to the growth of its corporate and commercial capabilities.

Highlights of Alina Banu’s activity include:

• Advising a major international group specialized in the development and production of plastic packaging solutions on the implementation in Romania of a large-scale reorganization involving mergers, corporate restructuring and data protection matters;
• Advising the Romanian subsidiaries of an international defense group on regulatory matters, including specific licensing requirements, the establishment and development of new production capacities, assistance with the secondment to Romania of non-EU specialists, and consultancy on eligibility conditions for obtaining funding for investments in defense-industry production;
• Negotiating and overseeing a complex transaction for the development of a large industrial silo on behalf of a major port operator;
• Coordinating the legal aspects of a collective redundancy process involving over 200 employees for a major industrial operator.
